We boarded South Passage, hoisted sails and left Cairns. Around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, we arrived at Fitzroy Island and kissed the land a sweet hello (not literally), while exploring the coral that had formed near the island. While on the ship, we learnt how to hoist the main sail near the helm and we each took turns steering the ship. While at Fitzroy, we took turns jumping off the side of the ship and trying to kiss the mermaid on the bow of the ship, which was a feat that wasn’t to be taken lightly. This was fun.
