Mareeba SHS
During the sail we worked in our coloured teams to put up the sails, navigate, rotate in deck watch, and take turns of the helm. Four hours later we arrived at Michaelmas Cay where we anchored for the night and watched tones of GT’s befriend us.  The food all day was excellent, thanks to the endlessly endearing and continuously impressive abilities of our cook. All in all, a good day. Skip to content

DATE: 19 June 2023

POSITION: Michaelmas Cay

REPORT: Blue Watch

Began with an early start at our last anchored distension, Sudbury Sand Cay. We began with cold breakfast of our choosing before blue team dominated the bowline competition. Afterwards, we ate our hot breakfast then got ready to cruise over to the sand cay for some snorkelling and swimming. Then, we engaged in an hour’s worth of fun consisting of going through some safety and emergency drills before being instructed to where our boundaries were.  We then, headed back to the ship to prepare for a long sail to our next destination.
