VOYAGE NUMBER: 20170915

FROM: Manly TO: Manly

DATE: 15 Sept 2017

POSITION: Tangalooma Wrecks, Moreton Is

Report by: Blue Watch

Today we set sail on our journey around the Moreton Bay islands. After we had all arrived we met the watch leaders and started learning about sailing. Blue Watch learnt about the jib and the staysail while the other watches focused on the mainsail and foresail. It was Ms Windows birthday and we had cake and chocolate.

Then we sailed to Tangalooma with each watch taking a shift each. We went swimming in the sea at Tangalooma and it was very cold. For dinner we had chicken and rice. We had a knotting comp to see which watch could tie a round turn and two half hitches, which the blue team won. At night we saw the international space station fly over us. Tomorrow we are going to go snorkelling in the wrecks, then off to Peel Island.
