South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: The Cathedral School

VOYAGE NUMBER: 20170724

FROM: Townsville TO: Townsville

DATE: 28 July 2017

POSITION: Cape Richards, Hinchinbrook Island

Report by: Group B White Watch

The adventure begins in the seas, just off Pelorus Island. When the tide was on the rise, a boat sailed past our very eyes. It was the South Passage, a marvellous creation ready to take us on a journey. We raised the sails and headed towards Cape Richards where we have anchored for the night.  The best things we saw on our voyage today were the whales and manta rays. This was the first time we had seen them from such a short distance. After that, the wind picked up and so did the waves, it felt like we were in a washing machine. We learnt some interesting things from our watch leader and are looking forward to another adventure tomorrow.
