South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: Silkwood School

VOYAGE NUMBER:  20230421

FROM: Manly to Manly

DATE: 23 April 2023

POSITION: William Gunn Jetty, Manly

REPORT: Blue Watch

Today we started our voyage with the sweet sound of a bugle, blasting us out of our sleep. After we awoke from our slumber, we competed in a passionate, yet humble knot tying competition where we were victorious. We lifted the anchor as a team then set sail. Blue watch was on the mainsail today, however due to the strong winds we didn’t end up raising it. Unfortunately, due to an injury, we had to return to Manly. However, thankfully they were okay. On the way over we were faced with powerful winds and monstrous waves, and we all ended up saturated.

We took turns steering the ship at the helm and navigating using latitude and longitude. After a complicated mooring, we got to go ashore. Following a lengthy walk (we were told it was a leisurely stroll), we arrived at the beach and the Wynnum wading pool. On the way back to the boat we stopped at the local IGA and got drumsticks which were enjoyed in the twilight of the evening. Despite all the hiccups and unpredictable events throughout the day, the blue watch still managed to absolutely dominate in the clove hitch tying competition, maintaining our undefeated winning streak.
